EARTH MEDICINE

An Immersive 9-Month Mentorship

A hybrid - online with an in person retreat

This mentorship is for those who are invested in creating new narratives and realities for our living and breathing planet. Folks who want to sink deeper into relationship with the natural world, delving into story and connection, to create the change we want in the world.

It is for those who are interested in developing language for what we experience through the body, and passionate about creating new stories for the generations that come after us by living what we believe in.

A MENTORSHIP MEANS I OFFER YOU WHAT I KNOW.

THEN, TOGETHER WE CREATE, SO YOUR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EMBODIED PRACTICE ARE INTEGRATED THROUGH YOU + YOUR WORK.

This space welcomes people from varied backgrounds, stewarding different work. In the past, we’ve had psychologists, artists, sustainability consultants, herbalists, doulas, scientists, authors, midwives, teachers, and more.

The common thread is that we see ourselves as bridge builders, who are here to articulate and invite connection to the wild, each other, and ourselves…

First, by dreaming into new ways together, by exploring and living-into our own deeper understandings, and by cultivating our own deep practices.

In a world where everyone talks about the difficult times we’re in with climate, biodiversity, and loneliness, the time is ripe for us to seriously dare to find a new way to exist.

It takes time, practice and the willingness to open to various voices and points of views in the World - not solely the human kind.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD?

HOW DO WE CREATE THE RIPPLES IN THE WORLD THAT REGENERATE RATHER THAN DEPLETE?

HOW CAN WE, WITH OUR WORK AND LIFE, HELP TO SHAPE a SOCIETY that can sustain for generations to come?

Earth medicine is about what we receive from the earth, nature, the wild. It is also about giving back. To the earth, nature, the community.

🌿

During this mentorship we will work with expression, storytelling, creating movement in the world, rooting into our values and exploring how we can practically unfold what we dream of weaving further in the world.

THE PURPOSE OF THE COURSE IS:

  • to strengthen your foundation to pass on and create experience- and practice-based experiences for others.

  • to weave nature practices into your existing work and channels

  • to immerse yourself and create a solid vocabulary and toolbox to give it to others that you know deep down

  • This course is a commitment, it is interactive and you will be asked to practice, rehearse and reflect a lot about ‘why’, ‘how’ and what is important to you.

  • This time there is a greater emphasis on communication and storytelling; how you can take leadership and pass on your nature practice, understanding and passion.

  • It is on many levels an unlearning of the way we are used to seeing nature, ourselves and the connection between them. Knowledge will come through new channels.

The Themes are

Kin

Connection in and to the natural world. Connection through relationship building.

We look at kinship and ways of seeing the world from multiple perspectives. We work with plants, elements, soil.

Foundation

A sink into the practice that informs our work. The being here, we lean into when the world feels wild.

A inquiry into the act of teaching what we know, through the relationships we nourish.

Story

Through the art of storytelling, the personal, the myths, we weave the narratives that create our worlds.

What stories are longing to be told and what are ours to tell?

Voice

Being a voice - we look at the ways you want to use your voice and what do you dream of offering the world.

What is it to be a voice? To offer it to the other than human.

How do we live what we say out loud? What is the 'song' we long to sing?

The activist, the leader, the human being.

We lean into creating and doing our work, regeneratively, sustainably and honor the nature of our being in the process.

What is it to lead as we take root?

How we weave

  • practice, work and exercises with e.g. plants, the cyclical, skill building

  • storytelling as a tool for both your personal and mythical world

  • organizing courses where you use your voice in YOUR way

  • connectedness and what it means

  • leadership and how we want to ‘walk our talk’

  • which ‘ancestor’ do we want to be?

  • practice, practice, practice - doing the work not just talking about it

  • responsibility and cultural appropriation

  • dissemination

  • an investigation of what the earth has for you, and what you have for the earth - your medicine

  • Exploration of the field of ‘spiritual ecology’ and nature-spiritual practice
