Story Sessions: Land Speaks
with Rich Skrein & Carina Lyall
3 evenings online - June 2026
THIS COLLECTION OF SESSIONS CIRCLE AROUND THE THEME ‘LAND SPEAKS’
When the land speaks, what does it say? Can we be still enough to listen?
Come sit. Listen. And engage with your imagination.
These story sessions come in 3’s, because you know three brothers, three sisters, three challenges.
And yet these stories offered here may challenge what you think you know about them.
We are not here to position ourselves as speaking for the land, rather letting the land and the stories speak for themselves and holding the conversation that follows.
We will hold listening as a central practice: to story, to self, to land.
This is not only a mythopoetic musing while we stroke our chins, it is not a storytelling course or a skill-building workshop.
In each session we will share a story, journeying together into other worlds.
We will have a group discussion on what the tales evoked in you and threads are pulled.
You will be guided into exercises that stir your own imagination and narrative.
After each session you will be offered resources, for the between session time.
It is the start of a conversation; a meeting of our edges as we are called to action, and change.
How do we live our lives after listening to the land speak?

about us
Rich can be found in the woods of Europe and England and is a storyteller, author and Forest School trainer, with a profound and enduring passion for the natural world. He works with groups of all ages, building community and long-term opportunities for learning, growth and healing in the outdoors.
He lives in the urban wilds of London and is passionate about making green spaces accessible to communities that are currently less welcomed or represented in the outdoors. He knows that if we understand ourselves as part of the natural world and cultivate a reciprocal relationship with the other-than-human, we can affect profound change for ourselves and the planet. He believes deeply in the power of the outdoors to educate, nurture, inspire and heal.
For the past 16 years I’ve guided women to come closer to nature, their inner and outer wild. I have worked with groups and retreats and have years of experience in holding space for transformation. The past 7 years have been with a focus on community, nature, storytelling and rewilding in a modern world.
I’m also the host of the popular podcast called ‘Becoming Nature’ where I interviews peers from around the World, on sustainability, the wild, skill building and climate issues. I offers year long mentorships for people who want to build knowledge about and skills to work with the land.
I was born in Northern Canada with deep roots with the indigenous people. I now lives with her family of 5 in a Danish woods.
